Care 4 Needy Copts is incredibly honored to have received the endorsement of Pope Tawadros II for our commitment to serving Egypt’s most vulnerable communities.

Since the inception in 2007,  we have tirelessly worked to transform the lives of thousands of families, helping them rise out of poverty and regain their dignity. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported our mission, and we are especially grateful to Pope Tawadros II for his inspiring words and invaluable guidance.

“In an Egypt where poverty continues to challenge the dignity of many individuals, The Shepherd and Mother of Light/ Care 4 Needy Copts stand as a ray of hope, providing not only material assistance but also a sense of belonging and respect to those they serve. Their dedication to addressing immediate needs and long-term solutions reflects the Gospel message to love and care for the Lord’s brothers and sisters.
I wholeheartedly support and endorse the mission of The Shepherd and Mother of Light/ Care 4 Needy Copts.

I encourage all Coptic community members in the USA to contribute their time, resources, and prayers to this vital work. Together, we can make a transformative difference in the lives of the poor and marginalized.
May God bless the service and all who support their mission.”

On October 25th, 2015, I traveled to Egypt with thirteen other guests and the donor coordinator from Care 4 Needy Copts. Like the others, I hadn’t been to Egypt in years, but we all shared a common goal: to witness the work of God through the simple lives of those served by The Shepherd and Mother of Light.
I spent six days in Egypt, during which our program included visits to Misr Al Mahaba Hospital, kindergarten classes, literacy and special needs centers, and meetings with many needy families. Some visits were follow-ups on ongoing services, while others served as evaluations of new cases. I was delighted to hear several success stories, including that of Mrs. Amaal Rahgeb, a widow left to raise four daughters after her husband passed away, along with a shop. Through the support we provided, Amaal was able to reopen her shop and successfully manage the marriages of her two older daughters.
The entire experience was a blessing, and I learned the importance of being content and grateful as I met the people during this trip.

I came to Egypt to serve people experiencing poverty. My son Lucas and I were very proud to be welcomed into your group. We felt welcomed and felt that we were part of a family. Visiting people in need was very humbling and an experience that opened our eyes to this wonderful organization that works from the heart.
An organization that makes a difference and creates a ripple effect of change.
The visits to the individual homes touched me, and to see firsthand that these people are assisted by amazing volunteers who were heartwarming.
I have been touched and blessed to have spent two days with amazing angels who walk the walk, and they change the lives of people in need.
Lucas and I are so blessed, and we will be back.
Thanks

My service began in 2011 in Malawi and has profoundly impacted me and my family.
It was a call by God to serve at the Shepherd and Mother of Light organization, which has brought joy and transformation to me and those we serve. Witnessing families facing difficult times, however, they are still content and thankful, deepened my gratitude to God. -I did have Personal struggles myself, including my husband’s need for heart surgery, which has highlighted the importance of faith and appreciation for blessings. – I attribute the success of my children to the blessings of serving God’s brothers and sisters.
