On April 27, 2025, Care 4 Needy Copts had the honor of presenting our mission at St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in Chicago, IL, thanks to the gracious invitation of Fr. Samuel Azmy and Dr. Emad Ishak, a dedicated board member.
Our goal was simple yet impactful: to share the stories of struggling families in Egypt and inspire support for their health and basic needs. The day was filled with compassion, but one moment stood out above all—the “Jar of Love.”
After the presentation, a Sunday School teacher approached us multiple times, carrying a jar overflowing with coins and bills. When we asked her where this generous amount came from, her answer moved us deeply: “Our children in Sunday School contributed this when they learned it would help poor families in Egypt.”
Guided by faith and love, these young hearts had selflessly given what they could—not just once, but repeatedly—filling the jar to its brim.
Their kindness didn’t stop there. Inspired by the cause, they also pledged to support three needy families for an entire year through their donations. The “Jar of Love” symbolizes how even the smallest hands can make the most significant difference. It reminds us that compassion knows no age and that miracles occur when a community comes together.
Thanks to the generosity of St. George’s congregation—led by these incredible children—we raised enough funds to support eleven families for an entire year.
